On Saturday, September 24th, 2022, Generation Lyme will host the second annual Generation Lyme Day, an all-day virtual event honoring everyone whose lives are impacted by Lyme disease. We will celebrate each other for who we are, far beyond our illness, and recognize wherever we are in our journeys.

Ashley Baker is a Lyme patient from Clear Spring, Maryland. During her childhood, she spent a lot of time in the woods and parks around her home, including the C&O Canal. She grew up with no concept of Lyme disease or effective tick bite prevention measures. She has since become another person who faces chronic symptoms. However, she has worked hard to overcome her illness and change the narrative surrounding the disease. This is her story.

This resource will serve to showcase legislation that has been successful, so that they may leverage this information to help pass similar bills in other states.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently unveiled the new members of the 2021-2022 Tick-Borne Disease Working Group (TBDWG). So, what can we expect this term? Featuring Congressional Representatives, Federal employees and renowned scientists, CLA educated the public about major issues and raised awareness about the growing prevalence of tick borne disease. This blog pulls key takeaways from the event and focuses on answering the central question: Is Lyme Disease the First Epidemic of Climate Change?
