Project Lyme’s Mission is to eradicate the epidemic of tick-borne diseases through awareness and education, support of cutting-edge science, and advocacy for solutions to end the suffering.
We're Growing and Thriving
Project Lyme was founded in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our founding goals were to become a global advocacy organization for prevention and early detection of Lyme and tick-borne diseases by putting a spotlight on the epidemic, creating a dialogue that makes Lyme disease awareness commonplace, and giving communities and families up-to-date knowledge, tools and resources to stay safe.
Within the first two years of operation, it became increasingly clear that Project Lyme’s next steps were to expand its education and awareness efforts to those living with Lyme. In 2018, Project Lyme added several new Board Members who are all active and respected in the Lyme community. Together, we have cultivated strategic funding and programmatic partnerships, and we’re now creating a long-term tactical plan to bring Lyme sufferers credible information, support and hope.
