About This Event
Dr. Melanie Stein knows firsthand what it is like to do everything right and still not get better. After developing CDC-positive Lyme disease and Bartonella, she experienced acute neurological paralysis that was initially dismissed as conversion disorder. That experience changed the course of her life and now shapes how she practices, what she teaches, and the message at the heart of her book, Breaking Through Chronic Illness.
In this webinar, Dr. Stein will address one of the most frustrating realities in Lyme recovery: why so many patients follow the protocol, stay committed, and still remain stuck. Not because they are failing. Not because they are not trying hard enough. But because chronic illness is layered, many treatment plans do not go deep enough to address the underlying factors keeping the body in distress.
She will explain, in clear and practical language, what is happening in the body when healing stalls. This includes how the cell danger response can trap the body in a prolonged survival state, how mitochondrial dysfunction can reduce energy production and resilience, and how damage to the cell membrane can impair signaling, nutrient transport, detoxification, and the body’s ability to respond appropriately to treatment.
Dr. Stein will also discuss why cell membrane therapy has become such an important part of her clinical approach. When membranes lose their integrity, the body often cannot regulate inflammation well, clear toxins efficiently, or respond normally at the receptor level. Supporting membrane repair can help restore healthier communication between cells, improve resilience, and create a stronger foundation for healing.
