Center for Lyme Action will host its annual Virtual Fly-In to connect advocates with their Members of Congress. Last year 350 advocates registered for more than 200 meetings with Congress Members.

The goal of this webinar is to teach patients how to effectively advocate for change on the Federal, State, and local levels of government. Our presenters will discuss multiple topics including but not limited to: ways to engage with political representatives through letter writing, proclamation requests, how to participate in the upcoming Center for Lyme Action Fly-In and how to advocate for change hyper-locally, such as planning 5k's, social media fundraisers.

Once a year, the Tick IPM Working Group hosts the Tick Academy, which is an opportunity for researchers, educators, students, public health professionals, pest control professionals, public-space managers and citizen scientists interested in learning more about what they can do to stop the spread of ticks and tick-borne diseases in their communities. This year’s Tick Academy will take place October 16 – 17, 2024 10 AM – 2 PM CST.

This special evening will support our mission of eradicating the epidemic of tick-borne diseases through awareness and education, support of cutting-edge science, and advocacy for solutions to end the suffering.

Researchers at Mt. Sinai Hospital are looking into ways to help patients address complex chronic illness including LongCovid, ME/CFS (Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) and Post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome (chronic Lyme). The studies will involve the use of medical devices, surveys, video conferences, and dietary supplements to identify results. Dr. David Putrino, lead researcher, will join project Lyme discuss how he is working with patients to help them find solutions to their chronic health issues.
