Between the tests for Lyme disease and coinfections, doctor visits, and medications, the charges can add up for patients. Throughout the country, several organizations are working to make it easier to get a proper diagnosis and begin treatment. If you need financial assistance, check out these nonprofits that may be able to help you or your family with diagnostic testing and other Lyme-related expenses.

The Lyme Test Access Program (Lyme-TAP) is a nationwide (USA only) patient assistance program to assist with initial Lyme-related lab tests for patients who demonstrate true financial need.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing grants to children and young adults. The program assists with up to $10,000 for an individual or $30,000 for a family for treatment-related costs, including lab testing, doctor visits, and medications.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit aimed at providing grants to people of all ages for diagnostic testing and treatment of Lyme disease and coinfections. The program assists with up to $4,000 in diagnostic and treatment costs to a Lyme specialist. They offer grants every Fall and Spring

The NC Lyme Disease Foundation (NCLDF) is delighted to announce that they are offering five (5) grants of $600 to members of the group to help with the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses.
The Northeast Lyme and Associated Diseases Resource Foundation offers both treatment grants and testing grants of up to $3,000 per applicant per year. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
