About This Event
Lyme disease and its co-infections impact at least 500,000 men, women, and children across the U.S. each year. They can affect the brain and nervous system. Some patients may experience neuropsychiatric involvement such as brain inflammation, poor sleep, and even psychosis. Other psychiatric symptoms include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, depersonalization, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, dementia, and more.
Project Lyme presents “Managing Your Mental Health” as a resource for patients in the community. Psychiatrist Jane Marke, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Rosalie Greenberg, as well as social worker and therapist Audrey Amir, will provide medical insight along with strategies to cope. Our panelists will also address frequently asked questions and seek to dispel confusion over psychiatric issues facing the community. This webinar will prove valuable for people in the community who have or may experience psychological symptoms of Lyme disease.
